Michele Bachmann's New Iowa Ad Campaign

Bachmann Fights Back In Iowa

As Republicans scramble for votes in the crucial days before the Iowa caucuses, Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) announced a new ad campaign painting her as the natural choice for Iowa's Christian and social conservatives.

The new ads will run on TV, radio and online until the Jan. 3rd caucuses. Two 30-second videos entitled "Voices from Michele Bachmann's 99 County Tour" feature short clips of Bachmann supporters explaining their reasons for backing the Minnesota congresswoman. "She's a Christian, and I feel like that's very important because those values will be carried into the White House," says a woman wielding a Bachmann sign in one of the ads.

The videos will run alongside three new radio ads (click here, here and here to listen). In a statement announcing the purchase of air time, the Bachmann campaign said that "the ads highlight Bachmann's values -- which were formed in Iowa -- her commitment to pro-life issues, and strong marriage; further reminding voters that she is the true, consistent conservative in the race."
